Veteran's Day Assembly

Emerald Hill students were very fortunate today to spend time with some members of our military.  We were delighted to have from the Navy, HM2 Carlos Calzada, HM3 James Spieker and HM3 Nick Latham attend a ceremony and answer questions from the students.  Last February, Emerald Hill students and staff collected items for care packages and made cards for members of the military.  These gentlemen were some of the troops who received these.  The color guard from Eastern View High Schol ROTC presented the flag and the chorus and tone chimes provided patriotic music to the ceremony.  I would like to thank MSgt Lisa Rodier, U.S. Air Force and Emerald Hill parent, for coordinating this wonderful opportunity!  We are very fortunate to be able to show our appreciation to those who honor our country every day.    THANK YOU!
